Corrections Policy

How to report and request correction of directory or editorial information.

Last updated: September 26, 2026

TaxAttorneyVA welcomes correction requests because attorney and law-firm information can change over time.

How to request a correction

Use the Contact page and include the profile URL, the information you believe is incorrect, the proposed correction, and a reliable source when available. Attorneys and authorized firm representatives may also use the profile-claim process.

How we review corrections

We may compare a request against a law-firm website, public bar information, public business records, government sources, or other reliable evidence. Material professional information may require independent confirmation before it is changed.

Timing and transparency

We try to review clear factual corrections promptly, but complex disputes may take longer. We may preserve internal records showing what changed and why. Corrections are not conditioned on purchasing advertising.

Reviews and opinions

Factual listing corrections are different from disputes about client reviews. Review disputes are handled under our Review Policy.
