How paid placements are labeled
Paid directory placement is labeled with terms such as Sponsored or Advertisement. Google AdSense and other display advertising, when enabled, is visually separated from directory controls and editorial content.
What advertisers cannot buy
- A verified credential that has not been independently verified.
- A favorable client rating or fabricated review.
- Removal of a legitimate negative review solely because the professional is an advertiser.
- A favorable editorial conclusion presented as independent analysis.
- A guarantee of leads, case outcomes, search-engine ranking, or directory ranking outside clearly identified paid placement.
Directory sorting
Sponsored placement may appear in separately labeled areas. Organic search and browse results may use relevance, location, profile completeness, rating data, experience data, or other disclosed factors. See our Directory Methodology for more detail.

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google may select ads based on page context and, where permitted, visitor interests or prior activity. TaxAttorneyVA does not manually endorse products merely because an advertisement appears on the site.
